Ever wondered what is Galentine's Day? Or when is Galentine's Day?
Whilst Valentine’s Day may get all the attention, February 13th is reserved for celebrating the incredible women who brighten our lives—our besties! Known as Galentine’s Day, this fun and empowering tradition is the perfect way to spread love and gratitude to your favorite friends.
What is Galentine’s Day?
First coined by Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation, Galentine’s Day is about “ladies celebrating ladies”. It's a day to focus on the platonic relationships instead of the romantic ones, celebrating those strong bonds with the special women around you. Whether your friends are near or far, it’s a chance to show them just how much they mean to you.
When is Galentine's Day
Always the day before Valentine's Day; February 13th.
How to Celebrate Galentine's Day
There’s no wrong way to mark the occasion. Brunch with your besties? A heartfelt note? A thoughtful token like a beautiful bouquet? Flowers are always a hit, adding color and happiness to the day. We personally love a simple bouquet in their favourite colour(s) with a special note recalling some of your memories together.
This Galentine's Day, I'll be choosing our pink Freesias to say thank you to my closest girlfriends for their love, support and brutal honesty. Here's some of our top picks.
